How to Book a K–12 Field Trip
To lock in your reservation, a non-refundable $5 registration fee is required. This small fee guarantees your spot, but does not cover admission—don’t worry, you’ll receive a separate email with all the details to complete your group’s payment.
All fees must be paid at least 10 days before your visit through our Education Department—payment and group rates are not accepted at the ticket window.
Your reservation timeframe will show as 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., but our actual hours may vary by season. Be sure to check our Museum Hours before your visit so you can make the most of your day!
How to Book Your Trip
- Under Search Criteria, select “K–12 Field Trips.”
- Pick your preferred date on the calendar.
Tip: If your group is larger than the remaining availability, try another date!
- Choose your arrival time:
- AM Slot: Arrive before 12:00 p.m. and stay until close, it's up to you!
- PM Slot: Arrive after 12:00 p.m. and stay until close, it's up to you!
- Click the “RESERVE” button next to your chosen time.
- On the next screen:
- Log in if you have an account,
- Create a new user account, or
- Continue as a guest—easy!
- Click “Checkout” to move forward.
- Enter your school or organization’s info.
- Pay your $5 reservation fee. Purchase orders are not accepted for the booking fee.
- Hit the red “MAKE PAYMENT” button —you’re all set!
